How do I achieve my health goals realistically?

Each "disease" usually has different, sometimes manifold symptoms, which can have different causes. It is important to describe the symptoms as precisely as possible, because this makes it easier to identify the causes and the affected tissues.

General diagnoses such as diabetes, lung cancer, influenza, ADHD or burnout are not helpful because each of these "drawer diagnoses" can have different symptoms and above all causes.

It is important to understand the biological connections in order to define "wishful thinking" and "unrealistic" therapy goals through realistic goals.

A COPD stage 4 patient will certainly not be able to run a half marathon again after 4 weeks of therapy - even if he hopes for it and wishes for it so much! 

In this case, if you stick to your goal of a half marathon, you will experience failure, frustration and demotivation every time. But you can also change your goal. E.g. "to walk relaxed as long as possible, until my body says: "Now it is enough (too big shortness of breath)" These small and simple goals every day anew to define (because every day is different with temperature, air pressure, physical-mental condition, biorhythm etc.) is the solution to get or feel more success. You will have a greater success.

If we observe ourselves while "thinking" and replace the unrealistic goals / imaginations with realistic goals / intentions, you have already taken a very big step forward in the sense of success = goal achievement.
